Improve instructions about how to run the website locally

For someone who has no experience with git, the current instructions are not sufficient.

While that is appreciated feedback, it is a bit vague for me to be able to improve the documentation. How far do you get? Or perhaps, where in the instructions does it stop making sense for you?
