Hi,

The code in this repo has been declared as deprecated but many tools are still referencing it.

I suggest to rename this repo to include the "[deprecated]" tag and notify the other tools about this deprecation.

This is especially crucial as many tools which are being used for Karma, relay on this old version of Istanbul which doesn't support well es6+.

By having so many tools depend on it, we are actually see incorrect results, especially when newever versions of ECMAScript are being used.

Example of tools which relay on it (that way or another): 'karma-covergage' 'karma-remap-coverage' 'karma-typescript' 'remap-instanbul'
