Discussion: New UI feedbacks

It seems like the new UI has received some mixed feedback, to quantify and properly understand the community's needs this is a meta-discussion thread that everyone is free to post suggestions to the new UI.

Gotify does not collect client metrics or analytics and entirely relies on community feedback to prioritize/learn about UI/UX concerns.

I am particularly interested in community feedback of (1) what are the workflow you use Gotify for (service monitoring, task automation, teamwork, etc) (2) what kind of tasks are clunky and hard to do (3) An emoji for support on specific priority helps as well.

Issues that are currently known (and a summary of the current state):

#465 (flexible timestamp formats): seem like there is community wish, waiting for a final consensus on implementation/desired behavior. #820: Tentatively split into subgoals: (1) stateless sharing based on URL/signatures (my own idea and proposal stage only) (2) A more cross-version and cross-build compatible plugin system (consensus reached and WIP, a couple more weeks is likely needed for all components to catch up to reviewable state). General styling preferences: Whether there is significant disparity in terms of strong like/dislike of particular styling and maybe we can have stable/configurable theme files so the frontend can be themed?

I am satisfied with the UI. I think I speak for everyone when I say I only login once in a few months onto the UI and even then I don't really use it.

I am a proponent of leaving the UI clean and simple like it is now, with minimal visual changes.

Long messages have rendering problem. you need to refresh from the UI to see the read more button

I've create #846 for this.

I wish I could reorder the application list. I've added new ones that get used more then older ones but new are always at the bottom of the list.
