Upgrading instance versions doesnt work

Open Fennecai opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug When trying to change the Minecraft version of a vanilla instance, the upgrade never actually happens. after downloading (?) the instance instantly reverts back to whatever version it already was.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. right-click a vanilla Minecraft instance (1.17 pre 1, in case it matters)
  2. manage

image 4. change version to whatever else 5. the instance will now act as though it is downloading, but as soon as its done, it will still be on whatever version it already was (or possibly just 1.17 pre 1, worth trying it to see if its a 1.17 specific issue)

Expected behavior instance should upgrade / change to the chosen version.

Possible solutions check if maybe its caused by 1.17 indexes sharing a same filename? i honestly don't know though

@Ladvace thanks for the update. This happens for me as well in 2022 and GDLauncher says I have the latest (but I'm not sure if that is true or not, the version number is v1.1.16-beta.3). Any input on when this will be resolved?
