  • [ cursory] I searched the issue tracker for other issues covering my case
  • [yes ] This is a Launcher issue. (Usually if you can reproduce it with a fresh instance)

Describe the bug _When trying to update a certain pack from one version of the pack to another, GDLauncher does not allow me to. On closer investigation, it is trying to update from minecraft version 1.19.2 to 17.0.2+8, which is invalid. _

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Download "Direwolf20 1.19" version 1.0.4
  2. Click on Versions inside the instance manager for the pack
  3. Scroll down to version 1.1.0
  4. See error

Expected behavior Minecraft version should be 1.19.2 in all rows

Possible solutions Make sure that GDLauncher is reading "minecraftVersion" from the pack's metadata, instead of "javaVersion"

Screenshots Screenshot 1.

Operating System:

  • OS: SteamOS Holo 3.4.5
  • Launcher Version: v1.1.29
  • Java Version: 17.0.2+8
  • Minecraft Version: 1.19.2
  • Mod Loader: [Forge

Additional context _Determined not to be a modpack issue by the modpack devs _

Well, the pack in question has a new update, and the new update has a different issue - I still can't update to 1.1.0, but can update to 1.1.1. The problem now is that 1.1.1 won't launch. And I'm not sure if I should create a new issue for this new problem, or just add the details onto this post. And if I should post the problem to the modpack devs or here, because I suspect the new problem is GDLauncher related again. But I don't know for certain.
