Mods marked as abandoned on CurseForge are ignored by the launcher

Open Topside08 opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

Describe the bug Mods marked as abandoned are ignored by the launcher they aren't installed automatically and don't show up in the launcher when you search for them

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install the CurseForge pack
  2. Try to play it eventually running into errors from a missing mod
  3. Go to the Manage window bauble for the pack and try adding the mod finding it not there
  4. Go and search for the mod on CurseForge noting that it has been marked as abandoned which doesn't matter because it's a mod for an older version of Minecraft

Expected behavior the mod is installed when installing a pack

Possible solutions at least some indication that there's an issue

Additional context the pack is a CurseForge pack called Antimatter Chemistry https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/antimatter-chemistry the specific mod is called Earthworks https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/earthworks

Can confirm, happened in enigmatica 2 expert skyblock where sky compression, immersive tech, and extra cells 2 were not installed (all abandoned)

Can confirm with Sky Factory 4 and Project Ozone 3

I think it is because abandoned mods are no longer indexed by Curse

Bumping this issue as I just experienced the same thing. Modpack was "Modern Skyblock 3: Departed" and the missing mods were:

Extra Cells 2
Immersive Tech
Lapis Stays in the Enchanting Table
Magical Psi
PlusTiC
Sky Compression
Thaumic Equivalence

Which are all marked as abandoned.
