Your default encoding, None, is not UTF-8
HI,
after long searching for a solution to my problem I have to ask here for help.
I am getting the error:
Your default encoding, None, is not UTF-8. Please run this script with UTF-8 encoding to avoid errors. (/base/data/home/apps//20180709t084733.411006610251643783/lib/googleads/common.py:160
Hello,
Thanks for reporting! I'll need more details about the environment you're using this library on--such as the OS, Python version, etc in order to determine a cause.
It's certainly interesting that your locale's encoding appears to be set to None. This message is a warning rather than an error; its purpose is to inform users with a non-UTF8 encoding that they may encounter errors running in the command line if their locale encoding isn't set to utf-8.
This would be harmless in the event that you do not receive utf-8 data, but can cause unexpected errors otherwise.
Regards, Mark
Troubleshooting another one of your reports, I see you're using App Engine and I just so happened to see this reproduced in the App Engine logs. I'll need to investigate whether this has any implications for App Engine users, but I don't think it should impact anything.
