Add an option for both eye blinks and a timer for blinks

Open code0nwheels opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

There should be an option to monitor to see if BOTH eyes are shut. Currently when the camera loses sight of the selected eye, it thinks I'm blinking. If it can monitor both eyes, it would eliminate a lot of false positives.

Also, adding an adjustable timer for blinks would ignore involuntary blinks.

This is smart, codeonwheels, I never blink with just one eye so having Gameface ignore two eyes winking could make left and right wink switches possible. I am the person in the promo video for this app and we did work on winking but moved on to lower hanging fruit since those gestures were giving us a figurative wedgie.

@Gimpygod Thanks for your reply! This is a brilliant idea for people like ourselves.

I'm hoping the folks at Google see my other request (#12) as I am only able to activate 2-3 facial gestures.

The blink algorithm is pretty rubbish. We decided to make our own using the eyes open, and eyes closed gestures in EyeCommander - and offer a range of different algorithms for this.

But I'm perplexed by something - blinking isnt even an option in the current release right?. have you added it or am I looking at the wrong release or something?

Oh right. I modified some files to get that option.
