4.4.0 release has no release notes

There is nothing posted here or on https://firebase.google.com/support/release-notes/android. Could these notes be posted somewhere so consumers know what to expect?

True. Just like 4.3.1 to 4.3.15, as reported in #40

There are release notes for previous versions (including 4.3.1 and 4.3.15) as part of the Firebase Android SDK Release Notes. But 4.4.0 is completly missing. I don't think #40 is related in that sense.

Same for 4.4.1 now. Here it says:

The latest release of the google-services plugin for Android (v4.4.1) is now available. For more information, see the Firebase Android SDK Release Notes.

But there are no release notes there.

Is there any update on this?

Now the latest Crashlytics Gradle Plugin 3.x declares the Google Services Gradle plugin 4.4.1 as a strong requirement.

Breaking change: This release increases the minimum required versions to use Crashlytics:

  • Gradle 8
  • Android Gradle plugin 8.1
  • Google services Gradle plugin 4.4.1

The release notes for 4.4.0 now appear to be posted here:

  • Improved compatibility with the Crashlytics Gradle plugin. (GitHub #272)
  • Internal improvements, including improved compatibility with newer AGP versions. (GitHub #269)

However, there are no release notes for 4.4.1 yet.
