Edit mode in AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) is not working

Edit mode in AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) is not working when the library is used in an embedded component.

I'm using the Vite to build the website that is later on embedded in the AEM as a component to preview the models. Whenever the model-viewer package is connected to the AEM as an embedded component of the AEM, the edit mode for a developer to add/remove/edit components is not working. When I remove the model-viewer package the edit mode is working again. That means that there must be some blocker coming from the code of the model-viewer.
