Sorry about the quick close and re-open. When I saw the description provided a spam alert went off immediately in my brain.

@addyosmani I'm kinda worried about putting a full marketplace into the Showcase. We'd have to nofollow it at the very least imo. Not sure where we should draw the line as to the type of sites to allow in. Any thoughts here?

I think we need to figure out a good strategy for showcase long term. Right now I've only highlighted trusted Google sites using MDL, but perhaps you're right that we should either nofollow these. I'll try to come up with better showcase guidelines.

@addyosmani Did you decide what you want to do with showcase requests? Looking through the issues, I can see loads of requests, but none have been added to the showcase page so far. I was going to add my own request, but it would be good to know if there's even a chance for it to get added before I do.

MDL is no longer being maintained or actively developed. Work has been refocused into Material Components for Web which evolved from the initial MDL v2 concept. So no further releases are happening or microsite updates (which hosts the site showcase.)

@Garbee Fair enough, I didn't see the announcement. Is there any migration information or are the two projects incompatible?

Migration path is TBD. MCW is still pretty early on in the dev cycle and subject to quite a bit of change. That's all going to be handled by that team now afaik.

In theory, the projects are compatible since you should be able to drop MCW stuff into an MDL project to slowly migrate. But, I have yet to need to attempt that. MCW is far more modularized and isolated with its component setup than MDL was thanks to our education building this.
