Bloom effect in translucent views

Open sdpopov-keyvariable opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

In translucent views bloom effect is presented only over the rendered pixels. E.g. scene contains only one bright small sphere and the sphere is rendered in upper half of the viewport. No other renderables, no skybox, view is translucent. It's expected shine near the sphere and lens flares in lower half of the viewport.

If viewport is opaque then bloom effect works as expected.

I'm sure that bloom effect in translucent views have to be blended with the render target's content in entire viewport.

I've tested it on Android 12, Filament 1.22.2, 1.23.1.

Yes, this use case is currently not supported.
