This repo has been deprecated and it has been moved to https://github.com/androidx/media. The com.google.android.exoplayer2 project has been replaced with androidx.media3

Please send the pull request to https://github.com/androidx/media/pulls instead.

Also, I noticed that you tried to merge the commits into the release branch, which is incorrect. If later you send pull request to that new repo, please send against the main branch rather than release branch. Thanks!
