AEUX 0.8.0 Stuck on sending selection from Sketch to Ae
Describe the bug A clear and concise description of what the bug is.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to Sketch Plugin
- Open Ae Plugin
- Click on 'Send selection to Ae' from Sketch
- Stuck on the wheel
Expected behavior Send selection to Ae
I tried with a picture and it works as expected. Nothing happens with boards.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- OS: macOS 11.6
Same issue. I noticed it only happens with artboards/groups that have images.
I tried selecting every item but the pictures and it worked perfectly. I assume the issue is related to pictures, as @marcusgriffen suggested.
@lostphasma @marcusgriffen Try setting a path in the Ae panel.
Another thing that could be preventing export is the Figma file permissions. Try creating a new Figma file and copying your frame to the new file and transfer again.
Tried that, and used multiple file paths. The issue is with Sketch, not sure about Figma.
Oops you're absolutely right (trying to juggle too many things). What version of Sketch are you using? I just tested on a couple machines with 62 and 77 with no issues.
It might not be related but out of curiosity, are your Sketch files local or cloud?
Local file. Also, I discovered that the issue doesn't happen with artboards that only have two or three images, but once there are more that's when it occurs. Seems like at some point it just can't process them and freezes completely.
Sorry, just realized you asked about version - Sketch 77.
Just to add to this, I am not only having this problem since updating to .8.0, but I cant get ANYTHING over to AE. Even the simplest artboards with no images. But it has the same behavior as described above... The AEUX panel in Sketch (v 77) just spins, and my computer DOES switch over to AE after a couple seconds and then...nothing. Just nothing. Ive rebooted, Ive tried two different versions of AE, different types of artboards. Arrrghhh I depend on this plugin lol.
@adamplouff I also tried to set a path in the Ae panel, no luck. I'm in the same situation as @marcusgriffen, with vectors or 1-2 pictures it works. I'm working with Cloud documents. Sketch 72.1
Yeah same, images export, but the comp never gets created in AE. I could get a comp created if I removed all the images. This plugin is killer, really. They say you never know a good thing until it's gone... 😢
