Not working with Figma
After clicking "Send selection to Ae" the gray highlight animation going through the Send selection...button (which I assume means processing) keeps going, but nothing transfers to AE. I have AE open in another monitor, and it will bring that window into focus, but that's it.
I found this post on the Figma support forums suggesting to give full disk access to ZXP installer, but no luck even after a full remove and re-install of both the Figma and AE plugins
I wish I could give at least an error, but I'm not seeing anything. The one thing I noticed was that the Figma installation process is now different than described in the AEUX installation guide, but the Figma plugin still installed just fine with the current "Import plugin from manifest" option.
- OS: macOS Big Sur 11.5.2
- AEUX version: 0.8.0
- Figma version: 101.6
I have a similar issue when I try to export a frame that contains images
@irispils the newest version (v0.8.0) should clear up the new issues with images. Any luck?
@annepena2 Open the Figma dev console (RightClick Plugins > Development > Open Console), then open AEUX. The console should clear. Click to Send selection to Ae, are you getting any red errors?
@adamplouff I'm getting a couple of warnings. Here's a screenshot:
@adamplouff I walked away for a bit and now this is how it looks:

Hey @adamplouff I did a fresh reinstall of both Figma's and AE's extension and it seems to work fine now. Cheers!
@irispils how did you do that? thanks,
@adamplouff @irispils I just tried reinstalling as well - I'm still having the same issue from before.
@sebaroach I manually replaced the plugin files for both Figma and AE, then restarted the programs. Hope it helps!
@adamplouff I'm getting errors when trying to export images as well - it wont pass to after effects and the console returns this:

I get this exact issue as well. It pushes editable layers fine, but nothing works with the Asterisk
@Djsquid2020 Try 0.8.1-a. I just updated it to have the version number on the panel to be clear of the version currently running in Figma.

If that doesn't work, can you share your file with me? [email protected]
Wait! You're right. The problem was the *
on the frame name. That messes with some stuff and should not be allowed to happen. I only caught the issue from your screenshot –thanks for that
I just posted 0.8.1-b which will now ignore *
on frame names and add *
to the children of a selected frame instead.
I'm also having this issue with AE 2021 and AEUX, my biggest complain it's that it seems there's no info on how to UNISTALL AEUX Plugin from Figma, anyone has some info? Thanks in advance!
