Feature: IDE Integration

This feature will let you use gemini-cli much more effectively with your IDE. This feature will allow gemini-cli to seamlessly pull context from and execute actions directly within the IDE.

What problem does this solve?

A major pain point for users is that gemini-cli currently starts searching for files and information that developers already have readily available within their IDE. This often includes open files, selected code, active error messages, debugging context, or project structure details. This redundancy leads to inefficient operations and unnecessary processing.

How will it work?

With IDE integration, gemini-cli will be able to directly access the user's active context within the IDE. This direct awareness will make gemini-cli much smarter and more efficient, eliminating redundant searches and providing more relevant assistance right away.
