PERMISSION_DENIED error when using the ARCore API

Open wjstk37 opened this issue 6 months ago • 2 comments

We are using the ARCore API to develop an app that includes the Cloud Anchor feature. After publishing the app on the Google Play Store, we confirmed that it worked properly for about two days. However, the Cloud Anchor functionality suddenly stopped working, and we are now receiving a PERMISSION_DENIED error.

The associated GCP project has completed branding verification, and it is properly linked in the Google Play Console. We have registered the OAuth client in GCP using the app signing key (SHA-1), and app ownership verification has also been completed.

Could you advise what might be causing this issue?

Hey, have you tried these troubleshooting steps? A mismatch between the SHA-1 used in the Play Store version and the one that's listed in Cloud Console is the most common cause of these problems.

We used the SHA-1 key issued by the Play Store for internal testing even before the app was officially released on the Play Store. There were no issues during internal testing, and everything worked fine immediately after the release as well. However, the issue suddenly started occurring two days after the release, despite there being no changes to the app or the Play Console during that time.
