Hi everyone, Thanks to @Shizola for initially raising this issue, and to all who have confirmed experiencing this crashing issue. Could you please try clearing the cache and redownloading the model? It would also be helpful to ensure there's ample free RAM before doing so. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks!

@dpknag After clearing the cache and redownloading the model, the app didn't crash and I could run the AI with no problems. The issue seems to be resolved for me. Thanks for the help!

Thanks, @ginqus, for confirming that clearing the cache and redownloading the model worked for you!

For anyone else who was experiencing this crash, it would be a great help if you could confirm whether this solution works on your device too.

Hi @dpknag that indeed fixed it for me too, thanks. I'm curious what causes this issue? When I cleared the cache it was about 300kb.

Hi @Shizola,

That's a great question, and thank you for the precise description of the problem.

The issue is likely caused by the cache file entering an inconsistent or invalid state, not by its size. Even a small 300kb file can cause problems if it contains data that the app can no longer parse correctly when loading the chat screen, leading to the crash you experienced.

Clearing the cache resolves the issue because it completely deletes that invalid file, forcing the app to create a fresh, clean one on the next launch.

Hope this helps clarify things! Thanks again for helping us troubleshoot.

Weird, I can't reproduce the issue anymore. Tried reinstalling the app and the models, exactly the way I did before, but this time everything works smoothly. Neither the app nor the models have been updated since I've had this issue...
