Feature Requests: Save Chats, Partial Copy, Unified Interface
Hello,
First of all, congratulations on the interface of Google AI Edge Gallery — it’s really intuitive and pleasant to use. I’d like to share a few suggestions that could further improve the user experience:
-
Saving and exporting conversations: Currently, chats are not saved, which makes it hard to follow up or learn something with the model, since we have to start over each time. Having the option to save or export conversations would be very helpful.
-
Partial text selection: When copying a message, the whole text is selected. It would be more practical to select only a portion (for example, a piece of code or a specific sentence).
-
Unified interface for modes: Bringing together image, prompt, and chat into a single seamless space would make the experience even more powerful and efficient.
Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestions. I truly believe these features would make Google AI Edge Gallery even more powerful and enjoyable to use.
Best regards, [Émile Fodé Guilavogui]

Hi,
Would it be ok/possible for me to work on the save chat functionality?? Or is the google team already working on it?
Hello @srivats22,
Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and offering to work on the save chat functionality.
At this time, the repository is not accepting external code contributions. We will make a separate announcement when we are ready for the open-source community to contribute code.
