GPU mode is not available on Snapdragon 8Elite
Describe the bug:
The GPU mode is not available on Snapdragon 8 Elite, all calculations can only be performed on the CPU.
In fact, when I switched to GPU mode, the loading bar kept spinning and the model didn't respond to any of my input.
Device & App Information (Please complete the following):
- Device: [Xiaomi 15]
- Android Version: [Android 16]
- App Version: [v1.0.3]
This issue is more widely seen, even in devices other than Snapdragon 8 Elite. There is apparently a workaround . You can check this previous thread . #https://github.com/google-ai-edge/gallery/issues/106

Could you please try installing the latest version of the app from our releases page or playstore (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.ai.edge.gallery) and let us know if the GPU issue still exists on your device?
