Option to reduce the preview's resolution

If the main Firefox window is maximized (or has a rather big window size) the text in the preview is unreadable since it has to be scaled down very strongly to fit into the preview. What about an option to load the web page in a kind of (invisible) virtual window with reduced window size, such that the preview doesn't have to be scaled down that strongly?
