Tab Scrolling halts when the preview window pops-up

Open ericf opened this issue 13 years ago • 8 comments

In Firefox 4 when I have a lot of tabs open I usually use the two-finger scroll left/right gesture on my Mac to scroll horizontally through my open tabs (Tab scrolling is a highlighted feature of Firefox 4). With Tab Scope enabled, scrolling through the tabs comes to a halt when the preview window pops-up. It would be nice if Tab Scope did not impede scrolling through your tabs.

I do really like the extension, just happened to notice this and it bugged me :-)

Same here with the Tab Wheel Scroll extension.

I also have this issue. Even disabling the mouse pointer option for Tab Scope doesn't fix it.

Edit: Actually, it only seems to occur on Linux. I don't get this problem on my Windows installation. I wonder why...

Hello.

I have same problem (https://github.com/Infocatcher/Tab_Scope_Tweaker/issues/1#issuecomment-70226124)

If window of preview tab is opened - scrolling tabs with the mouse wheel not working.

I intention to look "hidden" tabs (in not of the visible area) with mouse wheel. It works perfectly on clear firefox. But not work if Tab Scope plugin activated.

Tabs area scrolling working fine before do opened preview popup window (0-1 seconds). After open preview window - i unable to scrolling my tabs area

Tab Scope 1.6.2b1 https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tab-scope/versions/

Please test if there is any side effect with fixing the bug.

Works for me

@gomita I think this fix had a side effect for me. I'm using Xmonad(a tiling window manager) on Linux. The preview window now acts like a standalone window with its own title("Firefox") that becomes active. Also its position is now handled by my window manager and is not placed under the tab.

I downgraded to version 1.6.1 to avoid this problem.
