Ensure that environment variables work correctly when updating workers

@afsalthaj mentioned that he saw some weird behaviour when updating workers, specifically regarding the component version environment variable.

I said multiple times that I verified this and it works as it has to.

The issue needs to be reworded to the following specific case.

Verify that, after the worker update with the new component (version), the environment variable has to show this new version. It's more related to "update" than handling of environment variables.

Otherwise, the issue will end up focussing on environment variable handling, diversions etc - which is already handled

I'll check whatever we have a test for that scenario, if not I'll add it -- Just so we can avoid discussion about this in the future :)
