Theming issues in applications

Open ghost opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

Setup

OS: Arch Linux (5.7.12-arch1-1) GTK version: GTK2 & 3 WM: i3-gaps Theme version: 5d4b0f2

Problem

The theme goes black in some areas, if the application is unfocused. Other times, the theme seems to not work at all.

Applications tested (including package names)

  • Nemo (nemo) Only bloken when unfocused

  • modem-manager-gui (modem-manager-gui) only broken when unfocused

  • xournalpp (xournalpp) entirely broken

  • xfce4-power-manager-settings (xfce-4-power-manager) Only broken when unfocused

  • thunderbird (thunderbird) This one seems entirely broken, not just the unfocused issue

Are you using the glow variant or the regular? I think I have an idea what's causing that if it's the latter.

forgot to mention.. I'm using the regular variant.

After looking a bit more into it, Notifications by xfce4-notifyd also seem to be affected, they seem to have a transparent background

Note the whole goes black thing isn't an issue with the glow variant if that helps.

Great work dude, I may have stole significant portions of it with the gulp workflow for use in my own custom GTK theme for my upcoming Arch variant. Those radio buttons and slides are fire!
