Some text is barely visible

Open noavolution opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

I'm using pop_os (Gnome) and I installed this theme using ocs-url on gnome-look.org. When I apply the theme the system-wide darkmode automatically turns off. That causes some text in some applications to be barely visible because it gets displayed black while the theme is still applied. I know its bad to explain but the screenshot will do better. I didn't find a way to force the system-wide darkmode to be turned on yet. When I turn darkmode on, the standard theme gets applied. Its the greatest theme I've ever seen and it doesn't bother me that much but it is unfortunate sometimes. Bildschirmfoto von 2020-07-30 17-48-55 .

It looks like because -dark isn't appended that PopOS assumes that it's a light theme by default. Duplicating whatever variant you're using and add -dark to the end of it might fix it. I'll experiment with a light variant when updating to GNOME 40 and GTK4 and all that.
