Well, maybe you want to share a poem (or something) that's somewhat personal. You're okay with sharing it with whoever has the link, but a bit uncomfortable with it showing up in the public feed. That's one example I could come up with.

@yalh76 What is the 'publishing logs' use case? I've been seeing log-like things in the public feed but assumed it was an attack bot or something. Is that you? Can you explain more? Thanks!
For yunohost we usually publish logs to help users to solve install problem of packages.
For example: https://paste.yunohost.org/erutuhomeb => it's the log in debug mode for the upgrade of mastodon (also why I would like https://github.com/gobengo/distbin/issues/28) ;)
it's better than directly publishing the logs in an issue of github ^^
