Error during early initialization, during maintenance

What did you do?

So as I was trying to figure this out I found out that maintenance was happening, but it seems they've done something wrong causing the launcher to not properly recognise this, and since the error popup says "please report this" I'm reporting it even though it seems related to game updating.

Both the official and XIVLauncher get errors and fail to start the game

But occasionally I got this, I think it's caused in some manner by pressing "wait for maintenance to be over", perhaps by pressing it and then canceling, or cancelling it and then pressing it again, doing this repeatedly made quite a few appear after a couple of minutes

According to https://is.xivup.com/, there are problems with Square's servers. I'm getting the same error on linux.

Square Enix started their maintenance at 1 PM Pacific Time (roughly 4 hours 40 minutes ago).

This also involves Japanese datacenter maintenance.

All servers are going to be down and even stuff like the login server will be down more than usual.
