[Linux] Potential dependency change with GLIBC

Open BobenShaw opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Greetings!

I've pulled from Flathub the current latest version of XIVLauncher after reading in the Proton issue thread a post from Goaaats that a fix for a behavior was imminent with this release. With the previous release of XIVLauncher I had successfully patched and started 6.2 this morning and was able to play as expected. However, it looks like with/without Dalamud enabled with 1.0.1.0 that login will occur successfully but will crash out before actually starting into the game.

Executing the Flatpak via terminal using my same launch options from the Steam launch (as defined in the documentation) I got logging while this happened, and found messages after successful login messages along the lines of:

/home/USERNAME/.xlcore/compatibilitytool/beta/wine-xiv-staging-fsync-git-7.10.r3.g560db77d/bin/wine64: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.34' not found (required by /home/USERNAME/.xlcore/compatibilitytool/beta/wine-xiv-staging-fsync-git-7.10.r3.g560db77d/bin/wine64)

Since this is running within the context of a Flatpak, I'm not sure if this GLIBC dependency being referenced here is within the context of that Flatpak, or on my system. I'm currently running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. I can provide any additional logging as necessary, thank you again for the wonderful work on this project!

Thanks for reporting, we're rebuilding with the correct version.
