Why are you concerned about updating this library? Just migrate to another, the author has not shown interest in this project for a long time.

@arisudesu cause matterbridge, for example is written via this library... You can't just easily switch to another one...

I'm using it in more than one project. It's not so easy to change the library... I believe that @OvyFlash has done a lot of work to contribute to maintaining this project, and so I hope it will not die.
