DSL-AC68U: Upload DSL firmware failed

Open joie96 opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Router Model Affected Models: DSL-AC68U

Firmware Version Affected 386.5_2-gnuton0_DSL_1.0.5.3 386.07_2-gnuton1_DSL_1.0.5.3 386.9_0-gnuton1_DSL_1.0.5.3

Is this bug present in upstream Merlin releases too? No

Describe the bug DSL won't connect. The UI says that there is no cable attached, but there is. It also worked yesterday on firmware 386.9_0-gnuton1_DSL_1.0.5.3 after a hard reset but since I powered off the router during the night, it wont work again.

The log says again and again: DSL: Upload DSL firmware failed DSL: Try to upload DSL firmware

Expected behavior A working DSL connection.

Hi, All these firmwares have been tested and they are fine. When flashing the firmware please be sure you use the image with the DSL firmware, since I do provide images also without it. If you flash on of my images without DSL firmware, that will leave the previous firmware intact.

My suggestion is to try to flash multiple times the firmware, maybe the original one from asus and check if it's fine. There was another person which had similar problem. The issue was hardware.
