Some of the shortcuts are not working!

I am using Kali-Linux version 2023.1 with lightdm on my vm. While I was using the terminal the shortcuts for the following are not working: Zoom in/ Zoom out (ctrl + + and ctrl + - doesn't work but when I use ctrl + scroll I can zoom in and out) Adding a terminal on downside(for my kali box ctrl+alt+D shortcut is used to show desktop can i change the shortcut to another key if possible ?)

Closing current session : - both doesn't work for me and these aren't used by os as any other shortcuts! saving the session :

You can configure the keyboard shortcuts in preferences

On Ubuntu I have a possibly related issue, the preconfigured shortcuts for zooming will work with the plus and minus signs above the letters, but not the ones on the numeric keypad.
