Tilix Window Manager

This may be a bit of a daydream, but I'd love for Tilix to not just be a terminal manager, but a window manager. Tiling window managers are gaining popularity, but their UX and keyboard shortcuts feel wrong. (They all seem to follow similar UX ideas. Panes aren't numbered. WM offers to auto-arrange them in various ways. A pane can't be temporarily maximized. Etc.) I'd love to replace my window manager (xfwm) with Tilix.

You're definitely in the wrong place to ask or suggest something like this, but I do share your sentiment! It'd be great to open apps tilled inside a floating window which is controlled the same way Tilix controls its tiles.
