Alt/Meta Key Not Working

When I run cat and then press alt + arrow keys, I got something like this on my gnome-terminal

^[[1;3C^[[1;3D^[[1;3B^[[1;3A

but when I run it on Tilix, there is no result, which means that the terminal doesn't recognize the keys.

my $TERM variable has the value xterm-256color for both terminals and they're using the same zsh config.

I switched to gnome terminal instead because I really need this key

Apparently, this is because Tilix by default assigns Alt+Arrows shortcuts to "Switch to the terminal down/left/up/right". Changing those shortcuts fixes the issue.
