Smart copy not working

My understanding is enabling 'smart copy' is done by setting the copy command to Ctrl-C in the Terminal settings. There is no specific 'smart copy' button anywhere.

When I set copy to Ctrl-C, it is able to copy as expected. But then it will no longer send a keyboard interrupt - weather text is selected or not.

Tilix 1.9.4-2 Arch Linux - Antergos Gnome 3.38.4 with Wayland

For what it's worth, for me it appears to be working, albeit intermittently. But when Ctrl+C fails to operate, I am still able to send a SIGINT with Ctrl+Shift+C. Hope this helps!
