Is this only helm thing? I do not use helm and still I observe this behavior. I think it started after I upgraded to latest release.

@sunnylovestiramisu and @elmiko please comment on https://github.com/kubernetes/enhancements/pull/5031 proposal .I am going to try and respond to the comments here but I would really encourage any further discussion on kube enhancement.
I think generated mock defaults to `Eq` matcher and moving to a better matcher for protobuf matches is indeed correct solution. So we were probably using incorrect code all along....
