Scrolling window (vertical) via mouse wheel does not change the color of the scrollbar blue
If you click it and drag it manually, its blue in color.
However if the mouse wheel is used, it scrolls fine but is left greyed out (doesnt change color to blue).
I have checked a few applications and the standard seems to be
- Do not change color when using scroll wheel
- Change color on
hover(qtmodern does this) - Keep
hovercolor onpressed(qtmodern does ~not do~ this (fixed in #28))
Here are how some applications I had open behave
| Change color on scroll wheel | Change color on hover | change color on press | |
|---|---|---|---|
| QDesigner | |||
| PyCharm | x | x | x |
| Firefox | x | x | |
| TextWrangler | x | ||
| Safari | x | x | |
| Discord | |||
| Defold | x | x | |
| Microsoft Outlook | x | x |
I think we should keep what most other applications are using. I would therefore vote that this shouldn't be changed.
Well here's the thing, in Discord the scrollbar has an actual different colour. So you can SEE it even if it's not highlighted. In Qtmodern, the scrollbar itself is so close to the background of the scrollbar that there is little to no colour difference, hence you can't actually see where it is.....
Ah I can see that being annoying and inconvinient. But then maybe the solution is rather to change the color of the scrollbars standard color? Are you using the Light or Dark theme?
The light theme. That picture shows the scrollbar, see how little the colour difference is.
