People get sometimes get hung up on "zorfulations", and this is not particularly friendly to non-English speakers. At the very least use more common metasyntactic variables that follow some convention (foo, bar, etc) or better yet use placeholders more like the latter parts of the doc (something_public, implementation_detail, etc)
