Editing cards inside IO deletes additional fields info

I am not sure whether this is a bug or a feature that is not even intended.

I have a bunch of cards made from an image using IO, each card has individual information on Remarks and Sources fields. When I edit that image using IO (I grouped two masks together, thus making one card from two cards) all information in Remarks and Sources fields is deleted. I think this is because while editing, all cards are "rewritten" with the template, in which Remarks and Sources fields are empty. (as I mentioned before, I want to have on each card individual info.

Is there a way how to edit an image while preserving info in those fields? Or is it impossible?
