OP versions incompatible on RPI and Ubuntu machines, need to downgrade
I’m installing onto my main server ubuntu based and my rpi3b and because the ubuntu one is v11 110000 and the rpi (Debian bookworm) v10.3 100000 I cannot find a way to make them compatible as that is the latest version for my rpi. I’m unable so far to downgrade the version 11 to v10.3, does anyone have the command for me that will allow me to downgrade from v11 to v10.3 in ubuntu? Thanks
@punkpar, It is generally not recommended to downgrade the cluster. But if you want, you can try this
- Kill all processes on the node
- Install 10.3 rpm
- Edit the line "operating-version" on the file "/var/lib/glusterd/glusterd.info", the value should be the operating version of 10.3, which you can find in the node where 10.3 is already installed. I think it would be "operating-version=100001". But, please double-check
- Restart the glusterd process
- Check peer status. If there is any difference in the config, the peer will be rejected. I can help you recover it if it happens. Let's first do the downgrade
Appreciate the detailed instructions, thank you!
