Force reads to come to the mount

Do odirect reads to make sure the calls come till EC

@rafikc30 @sanjurakonde This was strange, for some reason even with direct-io-mode=yes, reads were not coming till EC. Is this something you are seeing in ubuntu/Suse?

@pranithk On suse, these tests are passing without the change, I ran 20 times and consistently passed them
