New Release ? What's the status

I'm evaluating this project for use in a new cluster and am trying to work out if I should use the last stable release, or master, or wait for a release.

The last release v1.2.0 was 2 years ago. Is there a timetable for the next release ?

What state would you say master is in - alpha / beta ?

I think you'll probably do fine with master. Since I am not directly involved in this project I don't know if there are any release plans but I have not heard of any. Generally the code on master is fairly stable.
