Describe your feature request I really like FSNotes. I like the idea of something that supports Markdown and stores notes as individual files. I also appreciate that this is an open-source project, and writing an editor that works the way Obsidan or Bear Notes does it a massive undertaking.

So, I've taken to editing things in an external editor. I bought Typora, because it's reasonably priced, Mac specific, and has a really nice feature set.

I don't know what kind of integration Typora can offer in FS Notes. But I think one useful feature would be to allow opening a note in an external editor when you double click on the note as an option you could turn on in the application preferences.
