OBS crash caused by obs-ptz

Open Elmoria opened this issue 2 months ago • 4 comments

I have the following issue:

When I switch scenes in OBS, the programme frequently crashes. The OBS crash log shows that obs-ptz is causing this issue. Here is one of the crash logs:

Crash 2025-11-04 13-26-19.txt

I tried reinstalling everything on different a different System for testing, but I still have the same problem.

If I can help in any way to solve this problem, or if more information is needed, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Can you please attach the entire log file, without trimming the startup log messages?

@glikely Yes, of course. I hope the log below is the one you need. Please let me know if I can provide any further information — and thanks a lot for taking the time to look into this: https://obsproject.com/logs/EfOyPOyZpftdD1Gy

Hi - I too have the same issue. I am fine using the plug in with the previous main version of OBS Studio (31) but when I try to use the plug in with the latest version (32) OBS crashes - and I have confirmed as with Elmoria, that the cause seems to be the plug in - all fine until I start to use it - as soon as I use it we crash. Sorry - I am not a techie whizz - just a user - so logs etc above my pay grade!

So the current work around is just to use OBS31 - but it would be good to be able to upgrade once the compatibility issues are resolved. But thanks for the plug in - being able to control everything within OBS (and using a streamdeck) makes the camera operation far more simple - and that's important in our very modest set up in a small rural church in the UK with limited technical expertise!

Sorry - should have added running the set up on a Mac Mini M1 with the latest Mac OS
