PTZ Plugin won't show up in Docks menu

Open martialgallorini opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Hi,

Using OBS 29.0.2 and latest PTZ Plugin (also tried with downgraded versions of both : either i don't understand or i have an issue because no plugin is shown under Docks menu (and i can't find it anywhere else...) so i am unable to use it.

Re-installed multiple times.

Tried under Macos and Linux.

thanks

Same here OBS 29.0.2.1 with latest PTZ plugin. Running Siduction "Masters of War". No plug showing up in the menu. It appears the files are installed into the /usr/lib/..... directories as they should, but OBS apparently can't find it.

Update : just had to install an Arch based distribution for a project and had a shot on OBS PTZ Control just in case... and it seems to work !

Tried 4 different other distributions (Debian based) and none is working with PTZ control.

Something wrong on those platforms ?

Thanks

Solution :

PTZ Control plugin seems to rely on the Serial Port from Qt6 libraries which seems are not installed by default on Ubuntu / Debian.

Manually installing libqt6serialport6 library solves the issue.

libqt6serialport6 should be tagged as a necessary dependency for this plugin.

Thanks

I tried installing libqt6serialport6 library in Mint and this did not resolve the issue of the dock not showing up in the Dock menu. It works just fine under Windows 10.
