[Wayland] error "Clipboard does not contain valid JSON" for any JSON

Unfortunately this extension doesn't work when running vscode on a Wayland session, every time I get the following error: error "Clipboard does not contain valid JSON" for any JSON. If I run vscode on x11 it works flawlessly. I didn't try on XWayland because my monitor is HiDPI and XWayland applications get blurry when scaled. I copied the json from another Wayland application and I can paste it in vscode without problems. I forgot to try copying it from an XWayland application instead, but I will: anyway it needs to be working with the Wayland clipboard as well.
