I can't get PECL memcached to build by hand right now, so not related to the Chef PEAR provider.

In my case, copies are just as bad as hardlinks. I'm building Ruby code into a package when bins are symlinked. Having them as copies mean relative file references fail.

@estahn is your php-fpm listening on TCP/IP or Unix Domain Socket?
@estahn I understand. I'm asking in relation to this issue and the php-fpm bug linked. It may be that the queue stats are only available when using TCP.
