@gregoryjscott the new `dotnet` cli is supposed to support compiling to native, so it "might" be able to do this. I haven't had any cycles to test.
There's no harm in keeping it open, if you can't look at it, maybe someone else will. It is a great idea...
It's probably not doable with our current scriptcs bits, but we are planning in the future to deliver scriptcs on coreclr. @filipw has been spiking on that.
