render-whitespace-on-github Display confused since recently

This was a lifesaver, thank you!

But now something happened (likely to GitHub's display of PR diffs):

Note the extra dots at the beginning of the line, and the extra dots within the blue "+".

That's with Firefox 94.0.1 on macOS 11. Anyone else seeing this? If so, is there anyone willing to dig into this and find a fix?

I'd recommend using the Refined GitHub extension: https://github.com/refined-github/refined-github Ever since it got whitespace rendering support I'd stopped maintaining this one

You might want to leave this issue open then (as a known issue), and/or add a note to the readme that it's no longer maintained.

The alternative is fine. But I almost opened a new issue before thinking to look through closed issues just in case.
