Live-reloading in dev
Ideally, we'd like to be able to rapidly hack on the site locally by running one command and having the browser hot-reload the updated code, similar to the basic experience of Vite.
Making something in pure Gleam to do this would be the absolute ideal, and the Gleam website is a great place to build it and test it out. We should have all the pieces to put that together. I'll do some exploration (bug Hayleigh) about it and see what we can do!
Sounds great! Being able to run gleam dev and have that entrypoint start a webserver with live-reload for the site would be great.
Could all the learnings go into one convenient app scaffold maybe that allows live reloading for any new bare bone project?
This is live reloading of the Gleam website, not of Gleam code generally. That would be more complex and not something we aim to tackle here.
