Cannot change theme on desktop if header and home navigation is hidden

Description

  • How did you install Glance? (Docker container, manual binary install, etc) - Docker container
  • Which version of Glance are you using? - latest version of glanceapp docker image
  • Include the relevant parts of your glance.yml if applicable (widget, data source, properties used, etc)

  • Is the issue specific to a certain browser or OS? - No
  • Steps to reliably reproduce the issue - Configure glance as per above configuration, on desktop browser you will not see an option to change the theme.
  • Are you hosting Glance on a VPS? - No
  • Anything else you think might be relevant - NA

Not a bug in my opinion. If you hide the thing that the theme theme switcher is placed inside of then obviously you lose the theme switcher. I could put it in the footer but you can hide that too, so then where would it go? You still sort of have access to it if you resize the window down to mobile view, since it's also inside the expandable mobile navigation.

You are right, technically this is not a bug. I am thinking of a solution, to maybe add a button next to lets say header widget with this theme switcher.

One obvious problem is it may not look good for all kinds of widgets.

No problem, I get your viewpoint here. Let's close this one. Maybe, if I get some time, I'll look into automatic theme based on browser theme / time duration implementation.
